The Office of International Linkages would like to disseminate this information on available Summer Programs with partner universities for 2017:


1. Waseda Summer Session 2017 (Waseda University, Japan)
Waseda Summer Session is open to international students who would like to take courses in literature and art, business, culture, economics, history, politics and sociology in the context of Japan and Asia pacific. The classes are taught in English by experienced faculty members from Waseda and visiting professors from the top global universities. Japanese classes can be taken as an optional course and extracurricular activities such as field trips, site visits and cultural events to experience Tokyo and Japan can be arranged. The program will run for 4 weeks from June 26 to July 20, 2017.

2. Hokkaido Summer Institute 2017 (Hokkaido University, Japan)
Hokkaido University (HU) launched the Hokkaido Summer Institute (HSI) in 2016. In 2017, more than 140 researchers from over 110 universities/research institutes from around the world will gather at HU, and provides educational courses in collaboration with HU faculty members. Tuition fee will be waived for students who enroll in the program as exchange students from HU’s partner institutions.

3. Airlangga Summer Program 2017 (Universitas Airlannga, Indonesia)
Airlangga Summer Program (ASP), established in 2015, is a short program for undergraduate students who are interested in knowing further about issues regarding culture, health, science, social, and law in Indonesia and Universitas Airlangga. It offers some appealing main programs including Traditional Medicine known as Jamu, Community Empowerment, Community Health, Safari Program (Baluran National Park), Indonesian Creative Industry and Indonesian Legal System concerning how the legal system in Indonesia can accommodate diversity in terms of race, ethnic, religion, and custom. In addition, it offers a cultural trip to Mount Bromo and Language and Culture class that can give the students unforgettable experience.

4. International Summer School New Delhi (Jawaharlal Nehru University, India)
The International Summer School New Delhi is offering undergraduate course modules schedules on 25 June – 04 August 2017 in New Delhi, India. The program consists of a 4-week academic session held at the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus and a 2-week filed experience held after the academic session, including excursions plus opportunity to do volunteer teaching work. Course modules at the ISS include Indian Politics, The Indian Economy, Indian Sociology and Indian History.
