Students from the University of the Philippines and North Carolina State University join other international students from partner institutions across the world in the recently concluded Developing Cultural Competence (DCC) Virtual Exchange Program developed by NC State University.

The DCC program aims to improve students’ cultural competence and cross-cultural awareness by facilitating virtual exchanges among participants. The virtual training program consists of self-paced individual learning modules. There are also four 90-minute facilitated meetings where participants can discuss and apply the knowledge and skills they learned in the modules.

To encourage and support the participation of the UP students in the said program, the Mobility for Vigor and Excellence – University of the Philippines (MOVE-UP) Program has sponsored the Program Fee of the participating students.

A total of 63 UP students were supported by the MOVE-UP Program for this virtual internationalization activity
