A delegation of University of the Philippines faculty members who are also members of the Philippine American Association of Scientists and Engineers (PAASE) visited the Linhai Ecopark in Kaohsiung last August 1-5, 2023. The delegation was led by the Vice President for Academic Affairs Leo Cubillan. The group was accompanied by UP Professor Emeritus Gisela Concepcion, as the representative of PAASE, and Visiting Professor of UP Diliman National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG) Eing Ming Wu.
During the visit to Linhai Ecopark, UP represented by VPAA Leo Cubillan, PAASE represented by PE Gisela Concepcion, and Peter Hsien Lai-President of the Manufacturer’s Association of Linhai Ecopark signed a pledge to perform academic collaboration through internships of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Academia-Industry Engineer’s extension, and training programs. The delegation also visited the Kaohsiung City Government, particularly the Economic Development Bureau, as well as ASE Group on semiconductor manufacturing.
