This grant is intended to instill the value of internationalization in the UP Community and other Philippine HEIs through the collaborative endeavor of hosting international conferences and workshops.
A maximum grant of ₱200,000.00 is provided to the successful UP CU to host an event.
Coverage of the grant is as follows:
For face-to-face events
- Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE)-type of expenses as follows:
- Secretariat Meetings (food)
- Kits (materials)
- Other Supplies
- Reproduction/Printing
- Communication
- Food and Lodging
- Transportation
- Outsourced Services
Note: Tokens and honoraria are not allowed; hence, they must not be included in the proposed estimated budget.
For virtual events
- Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE)-type of expenses as follows
- Communication
- Outsourced Services
- Web Hosting and Maintenance Fee
- Related expenses to the production and hosting of virtual conference or lecture
- Resource fee for the invited speaker/s or expert/s and/or professional host/emcee using the computation formula indicated in the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Budget Circular 2007-1, “Guidelines on the Grant of Honoraria”, as a guide
- Resource fee for the technical and support staff (maximum of three members) who will provide assistance in hosting the conference or lecture using the stipulated rates in Memorandum No. CGCG 05-06, “Implementation of New Honoraria Rates.”

Eligibility
- A UP Faculty, REPS, or staff can apply twice per year; however, simultaneous application for a single event is not allowed.
- Moreover, the applicant will not be allowed to apply for the grant if a previous grantee from the same unit has pending submission of reports (e.g., liquidation report).
